This is a relatively simple service from AWS. You place a video into an S3 Bucket (Input), a pipeline runs, and a video is placed into a different AWS Bucket (Output). In 2010, when I ran a webcast studio for a federal agency, this service would have been fantastic! We spent thousands of dollars on video encoders. Today’s modern processors have the processing capabilities of those legacy encoders onboard.
What AWS offers is scale and distribution. I can imagine rebuilding the webcast platform on an all-AWS platform, including CloudFront for distribution. Or, we’d use YouTube Live or Amazon Twitch.
