I’m borrowing a practice from Jo Peterson from this point forward. I will try to provide 3-use cases for each product we review. Today’s product is AWS Fraud Detector.
AWS Fraud Detector is a scalable real-time managed Machine Learning product that detects fraud in a business transaction. AWS takes customer data and builds a model that can be applied at the point of transaction. Application builders don’t need to have extensive Machine Learning knowledge.
Use Cases
Credit Card Fraud
Credit card fraud is the big one. Many small customers may leverage their credit card processors to detect and prevent fraud. That general protection may not be enough for new patterns within your niche.
Marketing Distribution Funds
If you run a large marketing distribution fund (MDF) you may find that a large percentage of partner claims aren’t used for the intended purpose. You can feed the ML Fraud Service samples and flag claims for human review without offending your market partner.
New Account Setup
Are all of those developers signing up for your new free-trial real customers? Or are they bots looking to resell your product with little to no investment from the bot owner?
